The 1966-1967 St. Thomas University Tommies men’s hockey team represented New Brunswick at the first-ever Canada Winter Games. The Tommies, led by STU Sports Wall of Fame member Bob Mabie, earned the right to attend the Games by capturing the New Brunswick Hockey Championship after defeating the University of New Brunswick, Mount Allison University, and Université de Moncton in tournament play. Four Tommies were named to the tournament’s all-star team—goaltender Bob Bowes, defender Guy White, forward Ernie Doucet, and forward Aurele Hachey.
