What is R.A.C.E on Campus?
R.A.C.E (Racial Justice, Advocacy, Community, and Equity) on Campus is a community-led research initiative that brings together Indigenous, Black, immigrant, international, and racialized students, faculty, staff, and community partners to examine systemic racism in higher education and strengthen institutional equity, solidarity, and accountability.

The project engages post-secondary institutions across Fredericton, NB, including St. Thomas University (STU), the University of New Brunswick (UNB), NBCC, NBCCD, the Maritime College of Forest Technology, and other relevant community or educational institutions.

Project Objectives:

      • Identify systemic barriers embedded in post-secondary policies, practices and structures;
      • Co-create culturally grounded tools and participatory methodologies;
      • And, strengthen coalitions among BIPOC students, staff, faculty, and community partners.
