Innominate (paired)

There are two innominate bones that articulate with the sacrum to form the pelvis. The innominate bones are irregular in shape. The innominate bones are the best means of determining the SEX of a skeleton. Each innominate bone articulates with a femur (thigh bone) via the acetabulum.
