Thank you for your Support

Since its establishment in 1987, the Atlantic Human Rights Centre (AHRC) has spearheaded human rights advocacy and education in the Atlantic region of Canada, giving a voice to marginalized groups and those whose human rights have been violated.

In addition to its previous activities, the AHRC is undertaking a number of initiatives, including launching a human rights speaker series open to the public, featuring professors at St. Thomas University. In consultation with provincial human rights commissions, the AHRC will also host a public consultation on Canada’s human rights record in advance of its next Universal Periodic Review, lobbying government to instill lasting, meaningful change at the ground level.

Your support will be instrumental in helping the AHRC promote human rights education through research, reporting, organizing conferences and workshops, developing and coordinating undergraduate level courses, and collaborating with stakeholders whose work relates to human rights.
