Aboriginal Education Staff

St. Thomas University has announced new Aboriginal education staff as part of the Province of New Brunswick’s outreach to increase Aboriginal student participation in the post-secondary education sector.

Doreen Saulis is a new Aboriginal Education consultant for the university. She grew up on the Tobique First Nation and says working with St. Thomas is like “coming home.” The 1980 graduate has worked in the federal and provincial civil service, and as a private consultant.

Dan Robichaud is the new Aboriginal Student Services Officer. His role on campus will involve recruiting Aboriginal students with a goal of increasing participation and success for Aboriginal students. Dan comes to STU with years of experience working in alternative education. He was a behaviour mentor in high schools and worked in First Nations Adult Education programs that dealt with career readiness and continued education.
